| May 23rd, 2008The “Movers and Shapers” exbition does exhibit many young talents in the field of design. Among them, there is the “D’Arcy Jones Design“, another design Inc. based in Vancouver. D’Arcy Jones established his studio in 2000. Since then many projects has been built in lower mainland and coastal British Coloumbia. BattersbyHowat_Modest without Pretense
| May 22nd, 2008The exhibitor of the “Movers and Shapers” exhibition that I am going to introduce today is BattersbyHowat . The studio was founded in 1996 here in vancouver as a partnership between David Battersby and Heather Howat. David is my alumni, he was back to studio as a critics in 2003. I remember that the most often used words by him is “Quality of Life”.
Their studio philosophy is ” to pursues an architectural expression that embodies a spirit of contemporary living that is modest and without pretense.” The project that they choose to display shows exactly what they mean by “modest without pretense.”
