I watched the Objectified a second time at home. Many things come up to my head and I think I should try to write them out.

Jonathan Ive, who is the senior VP industrial design Apple, once said, I quote

You look at things and ask, Why is it like that and not like this? And so in that sense, you are constantly designing.

To be a designer means that you should be able to constantly find things around us that is wrong; that is not comfortable. Nomatter how ordinary the things are. Then start to think ways to improve it.

Karim Rashid, world famous industrial designer from New York, also said, I quote,

Are the things we are doing really making an affect and makeing change?

To be a designer means there is a great responsibility here, that is to make things and to make things better than before. I think that is the reason why designer as a profession exists, otherwise we just follow recipe and cook the same old meal everyday with no improvement what so ever, at the end, we just feed ourselves for the sake of feeding. Designer dispears and human-robot appears, who without thinking doing nothing but repeat. If that happens to every designer, the profession dies.
