I attended a convention on climate change organized by the Institute of Civil Engineers of UK in Vancouver this Friday.This is the poster I made for it. Professor William Rees presented his famous “Eco-Footprint” theory and questioned all the engineers’ achievement from a negative and environmental perspective. Do we need engineers nowadays if we made a mistake to start industrial revolution at the first place?
Kumiko Inui from Tokyo lectured at Robson Square on Jan 28, 2010. She introduced herself and presented some of her office work to the public. Most of the projects are designed with her attitude towards life : happiness. Either small scale or large scale, the human emotion reaction is the key goal in her design.
