Private residence_MOS Architects

The project is realized by MOS Architects (Michael Meredith, Hilary Sample) through the project ORDOS 100, in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China for Jiang Yuan Water Engineering Ltd as a mainly a private residence. According to the architects ”We based our proposal upon a traditional Chinese courtyard house typology. Each room and function is housed within an individual building volume, which are connected at the corners to remove the need for hallways and excessive circulation space.”

Hutong Bubble_MAD

MAD designed and constructed this “Hutong Bubble” at one of the courtyard house in Beijing.
MAD is directed by Yansong Ma, who was a student of Zaha Hadid in Yale.
