Set in a ravine within a lush Canadian landscape, the house exudes calm and peace. A meditative, almost hypnotic quality is created.
I attended a convention on climate change organized by the Institute of Civil Engineers of UK in Vancouver this Friday.This is the poster I made for it. Professor William Rees presented his famous “Eco-Footprint” theory and questioned all the engineers’ achievement from a negative and environmental perspective. Do we need engineers nowadays if we made a mistake to start industrial revolution at the first place?
I have not update my site for quite a while. Partly because I am busy with work and travel a lot, yes, I was in Shanghai for a few days and Expo is great to see and explore. Be prepared to see “people mountain people sea” in China. Haha…
Here is a restaurant we went for lunch, I just can not but fall in love with the facade.
I hope the clay tiles and wood beams are recycled from one of those many historical buildings that being destroyed now in China.
